Their Finest

The film is set during the London Blitz of World War II and follows Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton), a female screenwriter hired by the Ministry of Information to help write scripts for propaganda films celebrating England's resilience. As she works on a film about two sisters who supposedly participated in the Dunkirk evacuation, Catrin clashes with her male colleagues, including Tom Buckley (Sam Claflin), over factual accuracy versus artistic license. Despite frequent arguments and personal struggles, Catrin perseveres to create a meaningful script that ultimately resonates with audiences and inspires real-life change.
