Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actress born on February 2, 1986. She made her stage debut in Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost and won the Empire Award for Best Newcomer for her role as Bond Girl Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace. Her theatrical work includes starring roles in The Duchess of Malfi, Nell Gwynn, and Saint Joan, earning her Olivier nominations and an Evening Standard Theatre Award.
