Impact

Walter Williams (Brian Donlevy), an auto magnate, survives a murder attempt by his wife's lover and is mistaken for the killer. As the police pursue his wife, Irene (Helen Walker), in San Francisco, Walter goes into hiding in the small town of Larkspur, Idaho, where he meets Marsha Peters (Ella Raines), a young mechanic who helps him uncover the truth about her husband's treachery.
