Visions of Eight

Visions of Eight is a 1973 American documentary film offering a stylized look at the 1972 Summer Olympics. It features segments directed by eight acclaimed filmmakers, including Mai Zetterling's dramatic exploration of the world of weightlifting and Claude Lelouch's take on Olympic losers struggling to remain dignified in defeat. The film was produced by Stan Margulies and executive produced by David L. Wolper, and won the best documentary award at the Golden Globe Awards in 1974.
