Bowling for Columbine

Michael Moore's documentary film explores what he suggests are the primary causes for the Columbine High School massacre in 1999 and other acts of gun violence by examining the background and environment in which the massacre took place and some common public opinions and assumptions about related issues. The film looks into the nature of violence in the United States, American violence abroad, and Moore's discussions with various people, including Charlton Heston, Matt Stone, James Nichols, Marilyn Manson, and George W. Bush, to explain why such tragedies occur and why the US' violent crime rate is substantially higher than those of other nations.
