Don't Bother to Knock

Richard Widmark plays Jed Towers, an airline pilot who becomes entangled with a live-in babysitter, Nell Forbes (Marilyn Monroe), at his hotel, only to realize she's not as stable as he thought. After a series of increasingly disturbing events, including Nell's confession of a past suicide attempt and her descent into madness, Jed must intervene to save the child and ultimately win back his lost love, Lyn Lesley (Anne Bancroft).
