Tillie's Punctured Romance

Marie Dressler plays Tillie Banks, a guileless ingenue, opposite Charles Chaplin as Charlie, an unscrupulous city slicker who tries to elope with her after meeting her father's large bankroll for his workers. The couple's love affair is complicated by Charlie's previous relationship and the woman he left behind, leading to a series of comedic misadventures, including a Keystone film within a film and a wild chase through the city. As Tillie ultimately escapes her husband's clutches, she inherits a fortune from her millionaire uncle, adding a new layer of absurdity to the already chaotic situation.
