Joe Butterfly

The staff of "Yank" magazine, led by Pvt. Joe Woodley (Audie Murphy), Sgt. Ed Kennedy (George Nader), and Henry Hathaway (Keenan Wynn), are among the first American troops in Tokyo after Japan's surrender. They must produce an issue of the magazine in three days, and enlist the aid of con artist Joe Butterfly (Burgess Meredith), who sets them up in a palatial private mansion, complete with lovely daughter Chieko (Keiko Shima).
