Oliver Burgess Meredith was a versatile actor and filmmaker whose career spanned over six decades. He established himself as a leading man in Hollywood with critically acclaimed performances in Winterset (1936) and Of Mice and Men (1939). Later, he became iconic for his roles as The Penguin in the 1960s TV series Batman and Mickey Goldmill in the Rocky film series, winning two Saturn Awards for his work.
