Dudley Moore stars as George Webber, a middle-aged composer who becomes infatuated with Bo Derek's character Jenny Hanley, a newlywed young woman he has never met. After George crashes a wedding and is mistaken for an intruder by his wife Julie Andrews' character Samantha Taylor, he boards a plane to Mexico, where he pursues Jenny and tries to win her over despite their open marriage arrangement. In the process, George undergoes a midlife crisis, but eventually reconciles with his wife after demonstrating greater maturity.
