Mary Brian

Biography

Mary Brian was a talented actress who began her career as a beauty pageant contestant and was discovered by director Herbert Brenon for the silent film "Peter Pan." She made the successful transition to sound films, starring alongside Gary Cooper and Walter Huston in the Western talkie "The Virginian," before going on to appear in numerous hits throughout the 1930s. After her contract ended, she continued to work in film and television, including a notable role as Corliss Archer's mother in 1954.
