Biography

Wu Ma was a renowned Hong Kong actor, director, producer, and writer born Feng Hongyuan in Tianjin, Republic of China, in 1942. He made his screen debut in 1963 with the Shaw Brothers studio and went on to appear in numerous iconic films, including A Chinese Ghost Story as the beloved Taoist ghosthunter Yan Chixia. With over 300 appearances and 40 directorial credits, Wu Ma was a familiar face in Hong Kong Cinema for decades.
