Henry Victor was a character actor born in London, England, but raised in Germany. He made his film debut in 1914 and gained recognition for his roles in silent films such as "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "The White Shadow." His most notable role came when he played Hercules in Tod Browning's 1932 film Freaks. Victor later established himself in villainous or Nazi roles in American and British films, solidifying his reputation with a distinctive German accent.
