Biography

Serge Reggiani was a French singer and actor born in Italy, discovered by Jean Cocteau at acting school, and later joined the French Resistance during WWII. He struggled with alcoholism after his son's 1980 suicide and found success in theatre with Jean-Paul Sartre's play Les Séquestrés d'Altona in 1959. Reggiani went on to become a renowned performer of French "Chanson" and made a comeback as a singer in 1995, releasing iconic songs like "Les loups sont entrés dans Paris".
