Peter Cook

Biography

Peter Edward Cook was a leading figure in modern British comedy, known for his influential satire and anti-establishment humor that emerged in Britain and the USA in the late 1950s. He co-founded the comedy stage revue Beyond the Fringe with Alan Bennett, Jonathan Miller, and Dudley Moore, which marked the beginning of his successful career. Cook's work also led to a television career, including the popular sketch show Not Only... But Also, alongside Dudley Moore.
