Biography

Slim Summerville was a versatile American actor and director, best known for his work in comedies. Born George Joseph Somerville in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he began his career as a messenger and later worked in a poolroom before being discovered by Mack Sennett. He went on to appear in over 50 productions, both acting and directing, with notable roles including Jailer in "Jesse James" and Homer Busby in "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm."
