Biography

Teiji Takahashi was a Japanese film actor born on October 20, 1926, in Tokyo, who graduated from the Japanese Film School and joined Shochiku studio in 1945. He rose to stardom alongside Keiji Sada and Kōji Tsuruta as one of the company's top young male stars. Notable roles include Tatsuhei in "The Ballad of Narayama" and Taizo Aoki in "Early Spring". Takahashi tragically died in a traffic accident on November 3, 1959.
