Biography

Tatsuo Saitō was a prolific Japanese film actor and director, appearing in over two hundred films between 1925 and 1967. He made his mark in the early years of cinema, joining Nikkatsu studios at debut and later collaborating with renowned directors Yasujirō Ozu, Heinosuke Gosho, and Hiroshi Shimizu. Saitō's extensive career also spanned post-war film direction and television appearances.
