Werner Johannes Krauss was a dominant force on the German stage of the early 20th century, making his acting debut in 1903 at the Guben municipal theatre. He gained recognition through his collaborations with renowned directors, including Max Reinhardt and Alexander Moissi. Notable film roles include Paracelsus in "Paracelsus" (1943) and Count Muffat in "Nana" (1926).
