Biography

Russell Charles Means was a prominent Oglala Sioux activist for Native American rights and a founding member of the American Indian Movement. He joined AIM in December 1969 and helped organize events that garnered national and international media attention. As an actor, Means appeared in films like The Last of the Mohicans and Pocahontas, while also releasing his own music CD and publishing his autobiography in 1995.
