Polly Bergen was a talented American actress and singer, best known for her Emmy Award-winning performance as Helen Morgan in The Helen Morgan Story. She also had notable roles in Cape Fear and Follies, earning a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Additionally, she hosted her own variety show and appeared in several TV series later in life, including The Sopranos and Desperate Housewives.
