Biography

Victor Jack Maddern was a British actor born on March 16, 1928, in Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex. After serving in the Merchant Navy and the Second World War, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before making his screen debut in 1950. Notable roles include Sergeant-Major in "Carry on Cleo" (1964), Mason in "Psycho-Circus" (1966), and a portrayal of Frank Harris in "My Darling Daisy" (1970).
