Tony Plana is a Cuban American actor and director born on April 19, 1952, in Havana, Cuba. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University and was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Known for his iconic role as Ignacio Suarez on the ABC television show "Ugly Betty," Plana has also directed numerous stage productions, including a decade-long tenure as artistic director of East L.A. Classic Theatre.
