Phyllis St. Felix Thaxter was an American actress born in Portland, Maine on November 20, 1919. A stage-trained actress before film, she began her Hollywood career with a contract signed in 1944 and made her debut opposite Van Johnson in the wartime film Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo. She later gained recognition for her roles in films such as Bewitched, Blood on the Moon, and The World of Henry Orient, among others.
