Hisashi Igawa is a renowned Japanese actor, having appeared in notable films by Akira Kurosawa, including Dodesukaden, Ran, and Madadayo. In 1969, he starred in the surrealist play "The Man Who Turned Into A Stick," produced by Abe Kōbō. Igawa has also been recognized for his work in films such as Yamato (2005) and 47 Ronin (1994), showcasing his versatility as a performer.
