Elisabeth Risdon

Biography

Elisabeth Risdon was a talented English film actress born in London in 1887, who rose to prominence in the early 20th century for her roles in society parts and leading ladies opposite prominent actors, including George Bernard Shaw. She also had a distinguished career in theater, graduating from the Royal Academy of Arts with high honors. In later years, she transitioned to character parts and taught drama to patients at a veterans administration hospital.
