A Christmas Carol

Reginald Owen stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in this 1938 film adaptation of Charles Dickens's novella, which follows Scrooge's transformation after being visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve. Gene Lockhart plays Bob Cratchit, the clerk who is fired by Scrooge but receives a generous reward from his nephew Fred, played by Barry MacKay.
