In 1940s Italy, Pasqualino Frafuso (Giancarlo Giannini), a petty thief, claims to protect his seven sisters' honor while living off their profits. After being arrested for murder and sent to fight in the army after committing sexual assault, Pasqualino is captured by Germans and sent to a concentration camp where he plots to escape by seducing Commandant Shirley Stoler's assistant.
