Kozure Ôkami: Shinikaze ni mukau ubaguruma

Ogami Itto, a disgraced former shōgun's executioner, travels by river with his young son Daigoro in a baby cart. After retrieving a bundle of goods from the water, Ittō recognizes that he's being followed by Yagyū Clan operatives. He later slices through bamboo stalks, killing hidden ninja assassins. Ittō encounters a group of men who are idling along the road, including Kanbei, a rōnin who is more honorable than his companions. Kanbei's three companions rape and kill two women, but Kanbei himself kills them to silence them. Ittō kills the rapists and engages in a duel with Kanbei, which he calls a draw. Ittō then steps in to protect a young woman from her pimp and the local officials, and agrees to undergo torture to save her. He endures the torture with his typical stoicism. Torizo, a woman from the Koshio clan, asks Ittō to kill Sawatari Genba, a man responsible for her sister's death and the fall of the Kakegawa clan. Ittō refuses and instead kills the governor's personal bodyguards. He faces the governor's army and kills them all, single-handedly. Kanbei again demands a duel with Ittō, which ends in Ittō's victory, killing Kanbei.
