Zoku Miyamoto Musashi: Ichijô-ji no kettô

Toshirō Mifune as Musashi Miyamoto, a samurai walks alone "in search of knowledge and to complete his character as a respectable samurai". He stops by a hut and prepares a bandana on his forehead, meeting Jotaro, a boy who lives there and refuses to leave. Shisido Baiken and two aides arrive, setting up an ambush for Musashi. After a tense battle, Musashi delivers a killing thrust, and an old man chastises him for lacking chivalry. Musashi then walks into Kyoto, where he meets Otsu, a woman selling fans by the bridge. He duels the students at the Yoshioka school, beating them one by one, and demands a match with Seijuro, the school master.
