Mariko Okada is a renowned Japanese stage and film actress born on January 11, 1933. She began her acting career with Mikio Naruse in the 1951 film Dancing Girl, later leaving Toho studios to sign with Shochiku and star in critically acclaimed films by Yasujirō Ozu and Keisuke Kinoshita. Okada also collaborated with Yoshishige Yoshida on several avant-garde melodramas, solidifying her legacy in Japanese cinema.
