A 1977 Japanese crime drama film directed by Junya Satō, starring George Kennedy and Yūsaku Matsuda, based on Seiichi Morimura's bestselling novel of the same name. When an American is murdered in a Tokyo hotel, detective Munesue (Yūsaku Matsuda) follows the trail to New York City, teaming up with Ken Shuftan (George Kennedy), where they unravel the crime and confront Kyoko Yasugi (Mariko Okada), a suspect with a dark past.
