The Whisperers

Margaret Ross (Edith Evans), a 76-year-old impoverished woman, lives in a ground floor flat in northern England, dependent on National Assistance from the British government. She receives a package from her criminal son, which she believes is a windfall intended for her, leading to a series of events as she contracts pneumonia and is cared for by her neighbors and medical professionals.
