Pickpocket

Michel, played by Martin LaSalle, is a young pickpocket who takes up the trade on a whim, despite the objections of his friends and family. As he navigates the streets of Paris, he is drawn to the art of pickpocketing and forms a partnership with two petty thieves, but his focus on crime damages his relationships and leads to a downward spiral. With the help of a sympathetic policeman, Michel must confront the moral implications of his actions and the consequences of his choices, ultimately leading him to question whether he believes in anything.
