The Lady Gambles

When Joan Phillips Boothe (Barbara Stanwyck) accompanies her husband-reporter David (Robert Preston) to Las Vegas, she begins gambling to pass the time, getting hooked on it to the point where she "borrows" David's expense money. As her addiction spirals out of control, she is hospitalized and suicidal, prompting David to fight to convince her it's not too late to kick her habit and save their marriage.
