Double Indemnity

Walter Neff (Fred MacMurray), an insurance salesman, becomes entangled in a seductive scheme concocted by Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck) to murder her husband and claim a life insurance payout through a "double indemnity" clause. As the investigation unfolds, Walter's colleague, claims manager Barton Keyes (Edward G. Robinson), begins to suspect Phyllis' involvement in the plot, while Walter's growing emotional connection with Phyllis threatens to complicate his own fate.
