Fortunio Bonanova
Biography
Fortunio Bonanova was a Spanish baritone singer and actor who began his career as a professional telegraph operator before studying music with the Italian Giovachini. He debuted as a singer in Tannhäuser in 1921, singing alongside fellow intellectuals Jorge Luis Borges, and went on to appear in films such as Don Juan Tenorio and Love of Sunya. Bonanova also directed his own film adaptation of Don Juan in 1924, showcasing his versatility behind the camera.
