Edward G. Robinson was a Romanian-born American actor and political activist, best remembered for his roles as a gangster in films like Little Caesar (1931). He was a vocal critic of fascism and Nazism, donating over $250,000 to war relief organizations and hosting rallies against German-made products. Despite facing blacklisting during the Red Scare, Robinson continued to act and eventually won an Honorary Oscar posthumously for his contributions. He was ranked among America's greatest male stars.
