El bruto

A tough young man, known as El Bruto, helps his elderly landlord, Andrés Cabrera, evict poor people from their homes, but falls in love with a girl, Paloma, who lives with her father in the building about to be demolished. When Paloma's husband, Pedro, tells Cabrera to get rid of the ringleaders, Pedro, El Bruto, starts a campaign, punching and killing one of the tenants, and later falls in love with Paloma's sister, Meche. As Paloma's jealousy grows, Pedro is hunted by the landlord and the police, leading to a violent confrontation that ultimately results in his death. The tenants, now free from eviction, celebrate their victory.
