Drop Dead Gorgeous

In the small Minnesota town of Mount Rose, the annual beauty pageant is being covered by a TV crew, led by Kirsten Dunst's character Amber Atkins, who signs up for the pageant to win a college scholarship and follow in the footsteps of her idol Diane Sawyer. Denise Richards plays Rebecca "Becky" Leeman, the daughter of the richest man in town, whose mother Gladys (Kirstie Alley) is the head of the pageant organizing committee and a former winner. As the Leemans are the richest family in town, the police are pretty relaxed about the pageant's potential rigging. Despite everything, Amber won't give up without a fight, and her fierce determination ultimately leads her to victory.
