Million Dollar Mermaid

Million Dollar Mermaid tells the story of Annette Kellerman, a young Australian girl who overcomes polio to become a swimming sensation. She wins local trophies and eventually swims 26 miles to gain notoriety, which leads to a romance with American promoter James Sullivan. As her fame grows, so do the challenges, including a scandalous one-piece swimsuit and a water tank explosion that puts her future in doubt. With the help of her music teacher father and show manager Alfred Harper, Annette must navigate the highs and lows of her career and personal life.
