Mat

"Mat" is a 1926 Soviet drama film directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin, set during the Russian Revolution of 1905. The film tells the story of Pelageya Vlasova, a woman caught between her husband and son, who are on opposing sides of the revolution. As the conflict escalates, Pelageya's son is imprisoned, and she is forced to betray her son's secret to the authorities, leading to a downward spiral of radicalization and tragic confrontation.
