The Farmer's Wife

Samuel Sweetland (Jameson Thomas), a middle-aged farmer, becomes widowed and decides to remarry after his daughter marries and leaves home. He pursues some local women, including Widow Louisa Windeatt, Thirza Tapper, Mary Hearn, and Mercy Bassett, but each rejects him due to various reasons. Eventually, he sees his housekeeper, Minta (Lillian Hall-Davis), in a different light and realizes she might be the one for him, leading to a heartwarming conclusion.
