Mrs. Miniver

Kay Miniver, played by Greer Garson, lives a comfortable life in Belham, England, with her husband Clem and their children, including her son Vin, who enlists in the Royal Air Force. As the war comes closer to home, Vin meets and marries Carol Beldon, the granddaughter of Lady Beldon, and eventually gets posted to a base near his parents' home. Kay, meanwhile, volunteers to take her motorboat, the Starling, to assist in the Dunkirk evacuation, and encounters a wounded German pilot in her garden.
