This Happy Breed

This Happy Breed follows the lives of the Gibbons family as they settle into suburban life in London after World War I, facing both triumphs and tragedies as they navigate domestic joys and growing national tensions against the backdrop of pre-war Europe. Frank (Robert Newton) finds employment arranging tours of battlefields, while his wife Ethel (Celia Johnson), their children Reg (John Blythe), Vi (Eileen Erskine), Queenie (Kay Walsh), and Aunt Sylvia (Alison Leggatt), and her mother (Amy Veness), experience the changing world around them.
