John Breen, a Kentucky militiaman, falls in love with French exile Fleurette de Marchand after returning from the War of 1812, and discovers a plot to steal land on which her exiles plan to settle. As he navigates this complex situation, Breen pretends to be a land surveyor, feigns playing the fiddle, and sings along with his soldiers as they journey through Alabama in 1818. With action, romance, and adventure woven throughout, The Fighting Kentuckian is a must-see for John Wayne fans, featuring a standout performance from the iconic star alongside Oliver Hardy's lovable sidekick Willie Paine.
