Paul Fix was a renowned American character actor, best known for his work in Westerns. He appeared in over 100 films and dozens of TV shows between 1925 and 1981, earning recognition for his portrayal of Marshal Micah Torrance alongside Chuck Connors in The Rifleman. A close friend of John Wayne, Fix is said to have taught the actor his distinctive "rolling walk."
