The Girl from the Marsh Croft

Young farmer Karsten (Kurt Fischer-Fehling) travels to town to select a maid for his family farm, where he meets Helga Christmann (Hansi Knoteck), an impoverished girl who has filed a paternity suit against a farmer due to her illegitimate child. Despite initial disapproval from his fiancée Gertrud (Ellen Frank), Karsten falls in love with Helga and chooses her over their social differences, but a misunderstanding leads him to mistakenly believe he's the killer of another man.
