Cutting it Short

In a small Czech town, a brewery manager Francin navigates a precarious contract while his wife Maryska, an unconventional beauty with a taste for meat and beer, inadvertently charms the brewery's strict board of directors with her own brand of rural hospitality. As Francin's professional future hangs in the balance, his brother Pepin, a garrulous and eccentric presence, adds to the chaos with his unexpected visit. Based on Bohumil Hrabal's novel Postřižiny, this charming comedy evokes the author's childhood memories of his hometown brewery and its quirky inhabitants.
