Knock Down the House

Four young women from different walks of life embarked on an ambitious journey to challenge the status quo in 2018's U.S. congressional elections. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a bartender from New York; Amy Vilela, a coal miner's daughter from West Virginia; Cori Bush, a grieving mother from Nevada; and Paula Jean Swearengin, a registered nurse from Missouri, joined forces as part of the Justice Democrats' movement, running grassroots campaigns against long-time incumbents without corporate backing.
